OBITUARY OF DOROTHY MARIE DE GENNARO
Dorothy “Dotsy” De Gennaro, aged 58, passed away on February 18, 2024. She was born in Bay Shore, NY and raised in West Islip, NY. After traveling for many years, while working for Club Med she eventually moved to Gilbert, Arizona and lived her last 5 years in Davenport, Florida.
Dorothy was a licensed hairdresser and worked for several years as hostess for Club Med, where she enjoyed living and working in several countries.
She leaves behind her sister Elizabeth, brothers Thomas, Richard and Edward and their spouses. She also leaves behind her niece Samantha and nephews Kyle and Nicholas.
A visitation will be held at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, with a service immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the American Heart Association.
