The Florida Highway Patrol has released additional details regarding the vehicle accident on SR-570 in Winter Haven:
The crash was confirmed to be a single vehicle crash. A 2011 white BMW was traveling southbound around the 14.5 mm in the inside lane. The vehicle was driven by a 34-year-old male (no other occupants). For unknown reasons, the vehicle swerved into the concrete barrier wall. The vehicle then traveled across both southbound lanes while exiting onto the west shoulder. The vehicle overturned a couple of times while landing on its roof. During the overturning…..the driver was ejected because he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
Polk County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Nathaniel Gale confirmed that they transported one trauma alert patient via ground.

On December 27, 2024 at 1:20 p.m. Polk County Fire Rescue and Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on Polk Parkway in Winter Haven.
There is one car flipped over as a result of the crash. Make and model unknown at this time.
