Humane Society of Polk County Celebrates 10th Annual Santa Paws Fundraiser
by James Coulter
Since 1972, the Humane Society of Polk County has been protecting Polk’s pets. And since 2004, it has operated Central Florida’s only no-kill animal shelter.
To keep its no-kill shelter running and ensure that puppers, kitties, and other furbabies receive their own forever familiesand homes, the Humane Society has been hosting its annual Santa Paws holiday fundraiser for the past decade.
Santa Paws will be celebrating its tenth annual event this Tues. Dec. 3 at Jensen’s Corner Bar in Winter Haven. The event will host live music by Brass Heart Band, appetizers by Arabellas, a hot chocolate station, and a specialty holiday cocktail featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
Lisa Baker, Executive Director for the Humane Society of Polk County, has high expectations for this event’s milestone tenth annual fundraiser: “Like always, this event kicks off the Christmas season for us and the community, and it reminds us all of the joy that we share by helping others. I hope this event brings in even more funding to help the animals this year.”
Santa Paws will be hosted on Tues. Dec. 3 from 6 Pm to 9 Pm at Jensen’s Corner Bar, located at 100 3rd St SW in Winter Haven. Learn more at: https://www.humanesocietyofpolkcounty.org/
