On July 15, 2024 Billy Dehart Jr. was involved in a horrific car accident on Winter Lake Road in Lakeland.
Billy shared his crash experience with Winter Haven Daily:
“My name is William “Billy” Dehart Jr. I was involved in a 5 car rear end crash on July 15th. I woke up and started my day like every other day. My wife and I were on the way to drop off our vehicle at the Regal Kia on Bartow Highway. My wife was in our car and I was in our daughter’s bug. She was in front of the semi in front of me, I came to a stop. Then about 5 or seconds goes by and the car just explodes when I was hit from behind. The mack truck never slowed down, hit the car behind me, which of course smacked me and squashed me between it and a SUV.
My wife whipped her SUV around and ran across the street screaming, fearing I was dead. She basically carried me out of the car and out of danger. As a result I have a dislocated right shoulder, broken neck, lumber, left knee, and my right ankle is broken. I haven’t been able to go back to work at the pharmacy I was working and I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to go back.”

Billy and his family need all the help they can get during this trying time. He is appreciative of everyone’s help while he navigates through this.

Join us for a special benefit Tournament to support Billy & Rhonda (Randy’s niece), who were involved in a serious car wreck on July 15, 2024. Due to this accident, he is unable to work and is looking at 5 surgeries over the next year.
Tournament date September 28, 2024, at Lake Shipp (Park Side) safe light till noon, exemptions will be pulled. $100 per boat, including big bass, 50% payout. There will be a raffle and 50/50 drawing, half of all entry, raffle and 50/50 will go directly to the family in their time of need. While you’re there, enjoy delicious hamburgers, chips, and a drink for only $10, with all proceeds also being donated to the family. Come out and show your support during this difficult time. Even if you don’t have a boat you are still encouraged come out and enjoy some food to support!!
