On June 13, 2024 several units were dispatched to a residential fire located in Lakeland. The call came in at 7:11 pm regarding a fire on Mt Tabor Road, Lakeland.
When units arrived on scene, a single wide mobile home was fully engulfed.
No injuries to residents or Polk County Fire Rescue were reported, but sadly 3 cats did not make it out alive.
Crews were on scene for over 3 hours. It was cleared at 10:16 pm.
The Red Cross has been notified for assistance.
