The City of Lake Wales has had many challenges when it comes to revitalizing its downtown landscape. Some of the building on the radar include the Dixie Walesbilt Hotel as well as the Seminole Hotel.
DailyRidge.com obtained documentation that the foreclosure of the Old Seminole Hotel has been completed. The city can now move forward with finding a new developer who will renovate the building and help improve the downtown experience.
The Lake Wales Community Redevelopment Agency will now be able to seek a responsible party to redevelop the property.
The Seminole Hotel was built on North First Street, at the northwest corner of Crystal Avenue and 1st Street.
