Auburndale Fire Department Battles Attic Fire in Auburndale Home

Auburndale Fire Department and Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire on June 26, 2024 on the 200th block of Pike Street in Auburndale.

The call came in at 10:08 am and several units were assigned to the scene.

Upon arrival to the residential structure fire, fire crews found a minor fire in the attic. 

From Auburndale Fire Department:

“In summary there was a small smoldering fire in the attic that consisted primarily of burning insulation and small areas of wood. Crews were able to access the attic space and extinguish with a water can fire extinguisher. They also removed small bits of smoldering.”

There were no injuries and no patients were transported from the scene. The scene was cleared roughly 2 hours later.
