Public Safety Neighborhood Initiatives Start Back Up

Must Read

Winter Haven Police Department
The Public Safety Neighborhood Initiatives have started back after a pause during the height of the pandemic.
Members from Police, Fire, Code were accompanied by City of Winter Haven Public Works, Solid Waste and even Red Cross on Friday visiting with residents. The goal? To make our neighborhoods better.
The team met with residents (of those who were home) and left information bags for those who weren’t. All residents were educated on the many services the City has available to improve their quality of life. Looking for pot holes, broken sidewalks or curbs and ensuring residents had important phone numbers to assist with any issues they may be having. Some homes that didn’t have house numbers affixed were provided those numbers on the spot. The Red Cross offered smoke detectors and will be making contact with many homeowners after the first of the year with this service.
This is the 8th initiative that included the area of N Lake Shipp Dr., Roselawn, Orangewood and Foxridge. Don’t worry, we are coming to your neighborhood in the future.
