Must Read

PCSO – 36-year old Timothy Lanthrip of Auburndale was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, September 15th.

Sunday was apparently a bad day for Tim. At around 10:40 am, Timothy and another man were out on a boat on Crystal Lake in Lakeland when they fell into the water.

PCSO deputies and Polk County Fire Rescue responded to the scene…a 911 caller reported that another man grabbed some pool noodles and jumped into the water and saved the boaters.

The good news is, neither man drowned.

Medics on scene checked both men out to make sure they were well, and the deputies on scene gathered information.

One of the boaters though provided a false name to the deputy.

The deputy scanned his fingerprint and determined his real name was Timothy Lanthrip.

When the deputy ran Timothy’s name, it became obvious why he lied about his identity. Timothy had SIX ACTIVE WARRANTS.

Timothy Lanthrip was arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail where he was given some dry jail clothes, and booked-in on his warrants for (one for violation of probation and five for failures to appear). He was additionally charged with false information to LEO and a new violation of probation.

By the way, great job by the man who rescued both of the boaters.
