Main Street Winter Haven –
We are excited to announce – Main Street Monsters 2024 presented by Citizens Bank and Trust!
This month-long scavenger hunt will be held in Downtown Winter Haven beginning July 1st. This is a FREE event where families are invited to find the hidden friendly monster murals scattered throughout Downtown. This exciting event combines art and technology by engaging kids 12 and under in a creative, interactive way, while promoting local businesses and fostering a sense of community.
Here’s how the event works:
- The event runs during the month of July allowing plenty of time for kids and their families to explore and participate at their own pace.
- Small murals featuring adorable and friendly monsters will be carefully hidden around Downtown Winter Haven. Our monsters love Downtown, so you will only find them between 1st street & US 17/6th street and they are not allowed to pass Avenue D SW and Lake Silver.
- Each monster will have a QR code. Use a smartphone or tablet to scan the code which will take you to a web page dedicated to that specific monster.
- On the page you will discover playful details about the monster you have found, including its name and quirky facts. We encourage you to upload selfies with the monsters so we can post them on our social media!
- If you would like to enter to win the scavenger hunt you must find at least 8 of the monsters. Each time you find a unique monster, you can scan the code and submit your name and information to “check-in” with that monster.
- Main Street Winter Haven will take collect the names of everyone who found and checked-in with at least 8 of the monster murals and will submit the names into a drawing.
- August 2, 2023 at 2 PM, we will host a live video on our Facebook page with two drawings, the first drawing will receive four tickets to LEGOLAND® Florida Resort & the second drawing will get to select their favorite Monster to become a permanent mural in Downtown Winter Haven.
