Obituary of Imelda Murill Dickerson

Mrs. Imelda Muriel Dickerson, 91, a resident of Auburndale passed away Sat. April 6, 2024 at her home with family. Mrs. Dickerson was born Sept. 19, 1932 in Eagle Lake, FL. to William Gasque and Deseree Pearl (Baker) Foster. She was a lifetime Polk Co. resident and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Auburndale. Imelda was a retired Environmental Specialist in the Citrus Industry. She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, entertaining and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Melvin Eugene Dickerson; grandson – Andrew Dickerson; brother – Daniel Foster and 2 sisters – Peggy Mas and Linda Stettler. Imelda is survived by her loving family, 2 sons – Alvin E. (Anita) Dickerson and Melvin Douglas Dickerson (Julie Pearson); daughter – Marlene McSwain; 3 sisters – Archelene Daigle, Martha Vinyard and Rhonda Smiley Mote; 13 grch; 25 gt grch; 2 gt gt grch and many nieces& nephews.
Memorial service will be 2pm Sat. May 4th at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 342 Bolender Rd, Auburndale. Arrangements By: Steele’s Family Funeral Services
