Lake Wales, FL – Lake Wales Medical Center is starting the year with a focus on heart health, as the hospital’s Healthy Woman program hosts “Be Sweet to Your Heart,” on Thursday, Feb. 11, at 6 p.m. at the hospital.

“This program offers a lot of fun, interactive learning,” said Maryemma Bachelder, Director of Marketing at Healthy Woman coordinator for the hospital. “Our attendees will spend the first hour visiting a variety of Interactive Learning Stations, where they’ll learn and experience various heart-healthy exercises, eating plans, CPR, and lots more. We’ll also have some health screenings, and information from a variety of area physicians and cardiologists.”

Following the time with the Interactive Learning Stations, attendees will hear from keynote speaker Dr. Carolyn D. Pass, who will share information on the numbers that matter most for your heart health.

Light, heart-healthy snacks will be served, and door prizes will be awarded. The event is free, but reservations are required. To register, visit LakeWalesMedicalCenter.com and click on Healthy Woman. When you register, you’ll be emailed an e-ticket. Bring the e-ticket with you to the event; it’s your entry to the event and for the door prize drawings. Questions? Call 679-6869.
