Watercolor Painting Class at LW Public Library

The Lake Wales Public Library will host Watercolor Painting Classes on Saturday afternoons, 1 until 4 p.m., beginning March 5 and continuing each Saturday through March 26.   Award-winning watercolor artist, Don Porter will teach these classes.

 

Don Porter has exhibited works in studios throughout the South and Midwest including The Cincinnati Commerce Center, The Knoxville Zoo, Gatlinburg’s PAWS Gallery, Willow Bay Gallery and The Cityside Gallery of Knoxville, Touch of Class, Sarasota and John Collette Fine Art, Highlands, North Carolina.

 

The March classes are part of the library’s Lifelong Library Experience series, sponsored by Florida’s Natural Growers Foundation.  Florida’s Natural Growers Foundation has underwritten the cost of the instruction.  Students pay a $5 registration fee for the entire four-week series.  A supply list will be provided at the time of registration Participants are responsible for the supplies.

 

The class is limited to 10 students; no prior experience is needed.  Instruction will be provided for all levels.

 

WaRegistration for Porter’s Watercolor Classes is now available at the library.  The registration fee must be paid at that time.
